Sydney, Hunter and Illawarra Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 11th December)
Best Days: No good days
Recap
A small NE windswell came in a touch under expectations yesterday with sets to 2ft across beaches open to the swell under light morning winds that swung offshore and freshened during the late morning. This kicked the swell in the guts with tiny surf seen into the evening with weak sea breezes.
Today a distant S/SE groundswell from the system that generated the weekend's swells has filled in offering inconsistent 2ft sets across open beaches under a light morning offshore. The swell should ease during the day as E/NE sea breezes develop,
This week (Dec 11 - 13)
There's nothing major on the cards for the rest of the week besides tiny levels of NE windswell not topping 1-1.5ft across north-east facing beaches Friday morning and then 1-2ft Saturday morning.
This weekend (Dec 14 onwards)
As touched on above small to tiny levels of NE windswell will kick off the weekend, but not above 1-2ft Saturday morning before fading into the afternoon.
The Tasman and Coral Seas will remain quiet through the rest of the period and this will result in tiny to flat waves persisting across the coast well into next week. Things don't look to change until the weekend of the 21st, but check back Friday for an update on this.
