South Australian Forecast (issued Monday 18th November)

Best Days: Today

Recap

Average surf continued across the South Coast over the weekend with only brief periods of E'ly winds seen each morning.

This morning a new S/SW swell is building and winds are offshore creating cleaner conditions. We should see the swell peak at 2-3ft across most spots this afternoon as winds tend variable, and with onshores expected from tomorrow for at least the next week, it's worth making the most of!

This week (Nov 18-22)

A surface trough will move across us just before dawn tomorrow and this will bring onshore winds that are expected to strengthen during the day, kicking up a weak and junky S/SE windswell.

The windswell is expected to persist all week as a strong high stalls in the Bight (pictured right). Winds will also remain poor though leaving no options for a decent surf.

This weekend (Nov 23-24)

The weekend won't fair any better with the ridge expected to remain strong until later Sunday.

Longer Term (Nov 25 onwards)

Conditions are expected to improve next Monday as the ridge weakens and moves off slowly to the east, but behind this we're likely to see another system moving in. We'll review this again on Wednesday though.
