Blue Link

Here's a link to the data Pete..

I don't find these models useful for forecasting and the resolution is pretty coarse.

Thanks Craig,
Like I said I just thought I'd mention it, wasn't sure if it was any good.
I saw an interesting story on the ABC’s Catalyst programme about the computer model called “Blue Link†that the Aus navy use for their underwater operations. They had world-wide ocean models and are compiling a lot of data from a lot of sources. They where producing some really interesting graphics. Most of the info they showed on the programme was for ocean currents and sea surface temperatures, but there looked to be some models of wind speeds and wave direction.
I was wondering if any of you forecasters (amateur or professional) out there had access to these models, might be worth a look if you can (or haven’t already).
This is probably old news, just thought I’d mention it after noticing a lot of forecast comments lately about how the satellite wind speed data isn’t as reliable as it used to be.
