Absolutely, all these and more, as discussed in any basic economics textbook.

But woke is not about these things. It has consumed the traditional working class labor movement and rolled out the platform of lunatic identity politics, and it hates the traditional working class masses (all redneck bogan uneducated racists who are better off in a gas chamber).

I only got back from overseas recently and didn't register to vote in time, so haven't followed our federal election at all.

I was wondering if the ALP has shifted away from the woke direction it was going down with The Voice and moved back to traditional working class labor politics and basic economics 101 of a mixed market economy.

Has the anti - woke movement, moved away from the oligarchy of a few billionaires, controlling a government , and deciding who gets social security and Medicaid ,
while at the same time demanding trillions of dollars of tax cuts, because they haven’t got enough billions yet ?

Taking something totally unproven to work and enshrining it in the continuation, this is typical wokeism, because it doing something based on feelings rather than substance. (the idea of gender rather than sex is similar)

Providing one group extra rights others dont have based on race, something everyone would normally oppose, but with a woke mindset certain minority group's must be elevated higher than others especially if non white. (again typical wokeism)

Then it was even presented and sold to the public in a woke manner, we cant tell you exactly what the details of this are, but hey we expect you to vote Yes based on the guilt you should have.

And if you have any doubt it was woke, then look at where the Yes votes mostly came from, city centres.

Hi Indo!

Firstly, it wasn’t providing one group extra rights based on race. Nor was it based on “feelings”: it was an initiative compiled after consultation with the indigenous people who wanted full representation in decisions made in regard to all aspects of their lives.

As you are well aware the final proposal put to referendum, was produced by the Liberal Party under the supervision of Ken Wyatt.

In typical fashion the Coalition walked away from the proposal to enshrine “The Voice” in the Constitution, labelling it “Labor’s Racist Voice”.

Yet Dutton is on record as saying the Coalition would support the very same proposal as a “Legislated Voice”.

Could you please explain to us all how a Constitutionally enshrined “Voice” was determined as “racist’, yet the very same “Voice”, legislated through Parliament was apparently not “racist”.

As for your opening comment: “Taking something totally unproven to work and…….”.

We should be grateful this aspect of the Liberal Party and its philosophy was not in use in ancient times, otherwise we would still be waiting for someone to invent the wheel.

Cheers!!

Couple of thoughts.

"Taking something totally unproven to work "
Yep, if we tried something and it made things better, then all the grubs wouldn't be able to continue giving Indigenous people such a kicking.
Can't have that.

"Providing one group extra rights others dont have based on race".
Yeah, Indigenous people have already got way more things based on race than everyone else, like cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, mental health issues, poverty and self harm.

"Yes votes mostly came from, city centres."
Hey Indo, did you know that remote Indigenous communities across the Top End and red centre consistently returned high Yes results, like 73%?
But fuck them, what would they know, all that crew out in the bush who need change the most are just stupid woke cunts.

Mate you spin the same shit every time this topic comes up.

Yes LNP started the process in good faith trying to provide a way for meaningful constitutional recognition, but when things came back it was rejected by the LNP government, rejected by Turbull the most left wing LNP PM because even he knew it would fail a referendum because it was way to radical and went against the principals of democracy one person one vote etc (yes you could call it racist, but not my choice of words)

There is plenty of articles from the time where you can read about it, so you cant just make shit up

"Turnbull government says no to Indigenous ‘Voice to Parliament’
Published: October 26, 2017 11.35pm AEDT

The government has rejected the Referendum Council’s call for a national Indigenous representative assembly to be put into the Constitution, effectively taking the debate about constitutional recognition back to square one.

Malcolm Turnbull, Attorney-General George Brandis and Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Scullion, responding to the council’s report, said: “The government does not believe such an addition to our national representative institutions is either desirable or capable of winning acceptance in a referendum”.

And further in the article

"The government’s Thursday statement said: “Our democracy is built on the foundation of all Australian citizens having equal civic rights – all being able to vote for, stand for and serve in either of the two chambers of our national parliament.

"A constitutionally enshrined additional representative assembly which only Indigenous Australians could vote for or serve in is inconsistent with this fundamental principle.

"It would inevitably become seen as a third chamber of parliament. The Referendum Council noted the concerns that the proposed body would have insufficient power if its constitutional function was advisory only.”

The challenge was to find a constitutional amendment that would succeed and which did not undermine the principles of unity, equality and one-person one-vote, the statement said. The government wants consideration to return now to work done over the past decade “largely with bipartisan support”.

https://theconversation.com/turnbull-government-says-no-to-indigenous-vo...

But then latter when Albo was elected he decided hey they were wrong im going to take it to a referendum, and well Turnbull was right and it failed, for the exact reason's he rejected it

If they were smart after Turbulls rejection (that history has shown was the correct call) the council would have gone back and gone for a more realistic proposal for constitutional recognition and if smart would have been happy with a voice in legislation only.

Who knows, why they didn't?

You can only assume Labor said to them, keep it as it is, and just wait until we get back in and we will take it to a referendum, claiming it will get up.

Anyway the topic has been talked about way too much, but im sorry I cant let your misinformation not be corrected.
