Erotic Jeff said:

"I got 9 hours sleep mastermind."

When?

Im honestly curious.

In the last two days there isn't even a gap between your post that long.

You post at all hours during the day, late night, crazy hours of the morning, then again in the morning, then back during the day.

What do you do, sleep for a hour or two, then post, go back to sleep for an hour set the alarm and post again?

I have periods where i post a lot probably too much, and i went hard on the run up to the voice, but i slept every night, no crazy hour post, and after the result and a little stirring of the result i moved on after a week or so.

But dude you are insane, you clearly have issues of some kind it cant be healthy for your body or mind.

Seriously its over the election is done, it was almost three weeks ago, give it a rest, move on.

Again the world is not going to end, we dont even live in the USA, the effect on us is not even that great.

'insurrection' versus riot

manufactured reality...

".. The House Select Committee to investigate Jan. 6 was comprised of Democrat-selected members who offered only one possible view: that Jan. 6 was an attempt to overthrow our democracy by Trump and his supporters. The committee hired a former ABC News producer to create a slick, made-for-television production that barred opposing views and countervailing evidence. The members, including Republican Vice Chair Liz Cheney (Wyo.), played edited videotapes of Trump’s speech that removed the portion where Trump called on his supporters to protest “peacefully.”

The committee fostered false accounts, including the claim that there was a violent episode with Trump trying to wrestle control of the presidential limousine. The Committee knew that the key Secret Service driver directly contradicted that account offered by former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson...

...Nevertheless, the Washington Post, NPR, other media and the committee members called Jan. 6 an “insurrection” engineered by Trump. Figures such as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) insisted the committee had evidence that Trump organized a “coup” on Jan. 6, 2021. That evidence never materialized...

...The lack of adequate security measures that day has long puzzled many of us...

...One report confirmed that Trump did, in fact, offer the deployment of the National Guard in anticipation of the protest. The Jan. 6 Committee repeatedly dismissed this claim. After all, it would be a rather curious attempt at an insurrection if Trump was suggesting the use of thousands of troops to prevent any breach of Congress. The committee specifically found “no evidence” that the Trump administration called for 10,000 National Guard members to Washington, D.C., to protect the Capitol. The Washington Post even supposedly “debunked” Trump’s comments with an award of “Four Pinocchios.”

Yet evidence now shows that Trump personally suggested the deployment of 10,000 National Guard troops to prevent violence. For example, a transcript includes the testimony of former White House deputy chief of staff Anthony Ornato in January 2022 with Liz Cheney present. Ornato states that he clearly recalled Trump’s offer of 10,000 troops.

Videotapes have also emerged showing Pelosi privately admitting that she and Democratic leadership were responsible for the security failure on Jan. 6...

...The House is also under greater scrutiny this week for new information on the shooting of the only person to die on Jan. 6. While Democrats have referred to many deaths on that day, the only person who died in the riot itself was Ashli Babbitt, a protester shot by Capitol Police..."

@Sypkan,
you've really got a bee in your bonnet about the use of that word.
Does it matter?
Rebellion, sedition, revolt, uprising, violent protest. Whatever.
The Oxford definition. Insurrection (noun) "a violent uprising against an authority or government."
All you have to do is google the word "insurrection", some of the definitions and explanations of the meaning even specifically mention Jan 6 and have photos of the day.
The term clearly covers the events of that day to my reasoning.
The Library of Congress documents at least 250 insurrections in American history.
It doesn't have to lead to a revolution.
I don't really think it matters what you call Jan 6, but as a lawyer I would have no problem calling it an insurrection.
What would you call it?
A polite request?
Just a riot?
It was more than just a riot, it was a violent (and some were armed) storming of Congress in an attempt to prevent the certification of a President.
How many died is not relevant.
I don't GAF what The Hill, or MAGA or the Select Committee or anyone else says.
That is an insurrection to me.
And now, I don't think how you characterise it even matters.
Except maybe for history, and I think history will call it an insurrection.
But even if it is called just a riot, why care?
I'd much rather be talking with you about how shit the ALP are and how Albo thinks he can fix the internet, again.

From Google..
What is insurrection in simple terms?
Insurrection | Definition, Laws, Examples, & Facts | Britannica
insurrection, an organized and usually violent act of revolt or rebellion against an established government or governing authority of a nation-state or other political entity by a group of its citizens or subjects; also, any act of engaging in such a revolt.27 Oct 2024.

The most famous American insurrection (prior to Jan 6) occurred in 1863 just after the Union victory at Gettysburg when hundreds of young men took to the streets of New York in protest against the draft.
There have been many others.
https://www.history.com/news/6-violent-uprisings-in-the-united-states.

I know I won't convince you @Syp, but do wonder why it's important to you.
Let it go, bigger fish in the frypan now.

that sounds fun, what teas? I've been writing reports, it's a bit shit, I always leave it late, then take it seriously. The worst combo. But have had Our Barack Oceana on netflix in the background (epic), and doing odds and sods about the place. The rain you are getting this week is cool, I REALLY need some here.. for the lawns, and I'm still worried about bushfire season here. (too many fruits and veg, I empathise, since my chooks got got, waste is simply expensive compost and feels different. hate waste.)

Jumped a few cabs in Brizzy in the day.
Worst result for me was getting in near Ipswich somewhere travelling to Clayfield. Pretend pissed asleep not pretend. Yeah mate just pull up here at Eagle Junction shops. Did the bolt. The coont came after me. Decision made to bolt through back yards along street instead of street
Olympic level vaulting of 6’ fences. 6 done and I’m in my back yard. The carrot cake is doing laps of the street with his side light.
If summer would’ve slept outside.
Feezing cold winter. Let’s climb up through the kitchen window on the fence. Sweet, as I reach in the dark window space grabbing for anything to give me leverage to pull myself up and in. The frying pan in the dish drainer didn’t quite cut it.
Boom Chrash Opera back down on to the old fence. Broken collar bone. Fun times on labourers wages. Housemates let me in the back door after the commotion.

my post wasn't aimed at you adam12

it was about 'the narrative'

and how it is constructed...

the connotation is that it was trump's insurrection

geez, the whole game and trial was about that very thing...

"...Nevertheless, the Washington Post, NPR, other media and the committee members called Jan. 6 an “insurrection” engineered by Trump. Figures such as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) insisted the committee had evidence that Trump organized a “coup” on Jan. 6, 2021. That evidence never materialized..."

however...

".. ...One report confirmed that Trump did, in fact, offer the deployment of the National Guard in anticipation of the protest..."

but...

inconveniently...

"...After all, it would be a rather curious attempt at an insurrection if Trump was suggesting the use of thousands of troops to prevent any breach of Congress..."

curious indeed...

anyway, my point is about so called 'misinformation', and the manufacturing of reality

we're in dangerous waters...

"...I'd much rather be talking with you about how shit the ALP are and how Albo thinks he can fix the internet, again..."

ok

it's not unrelated anyway, especially after albo and his MaD bill...

mad indeed

that the thoughtless gormless little dweeb thinks he's got that answer to anything...

not least what is misinformation?

this dude though, be right on the money!!

https://x.com/Matt_Camenzuli/status/1860954337490739565

"They’re not listening.

They are also in full panic.

They will ban Under 16s from accessing social media, but not porn hub. We can now see the Wizard behind the curtain. There are no two ways about it. This is not about child protection. It is about ID verification to use social media.

But why?

Well, because social media just defeated the Misinformation Bill. Social media defeated Kamala Harris. Social media is rapidly taking over the news and current affairs space as the place to communicate messages.

It is also novel as a platform for political engagement - because it is a two-way street..."

facebook bad... pornhub good...

errrrr...
