I do think, and this is coming from as an objective place as i can, that their political careers are peaking now. If Trump wins, there’ll probs be a seat at the table and maybe? a future. If Harris wins, this is king tide for their careers.
I will add that i did not see anything that moved the needle from this debate. Harris had the better night, but i don’t think this’ll tank anybody. It’ll still go down to the wire.

It's kind of sad there must be so many decent politicians on both sides of politics that come and go and never make it for various reasons like not peaking at the right time or aligning with political cycles or just not being the puppet they need to be for the party.
I hate the whole deep state idea, but i expect there is a lot of powers behind the scenes that we dont know or see that can make or break politicians.
Yeah, mate, agree on a coupla things here… one, yes, there is talent, from what i can see on both sides of the aisles. One on the right that i can work with is Dan Crenshaw. Not that i agree with him on, well, most things,, but i’d be more than happy to lean into his competence and his willingness to consider Other Ideas. Check him out.
And yes, there are layers and layers where mistakes are made in the assessment of electability.

Love a road trip, just finished packing, in bed Swellnetting, starts at 5.30am tomorrow, quick brekkie, regional taxi pick up from my farm, drop off bus stop in nearest town, 7.30am bus to Tullamarine airport, 11,20am flight to Cairns, 2.40pm arrival, grab ex wife’s work Ute from airport car park, shop for food, fill up solar fridge, head to Yorkeys Knob 10km north of Cairns, pull into the best little Thai restaurant in the village, the woman is Thai and makes the most authentic and delicious food take away, short drive to the beach esplanade illuminated shelter and toilet block, listen to wailing Bush Stone Curlews that gather, eat whilst watching Port Adelaide v Hawthorn on the iPad, from here on ‘free camping’ begins, slither into the back of the Ute canopy, not a soul would know I’m in there, dream the night away and hit the road, Tully River Gorge, there’s a few Cassowaries hanging there at the moment, ‘I’m Johnny on The Spot’ first thing. Life is good. AW

One of the biggest things Trump has going for him is his record on border control, and one of Kamala's weakness is her record on border control.

Checked out Bundy, Rocky, Mackay , Townsville etc
I kept checking the coast line but no swell of course
Beautiful coast anyway
Not the normal place a surfer might go
I stayed at some beaches , north of Cairns in my van for a while
Beautiful beaches and hinterland
and it keeps going up past Port Douglas
Through the Daintree etc
What struck me was the amount of coastline
that doesn’t get swell , and so is not seen by so many surfers!
