Hi guys,

I’m new to the game here and was wondering if someone could explain a few things for me when reading the surf forecast on the app.

I can see the wind direction forecast but how do see what the swell direction is?

And could someone please explain what the green arrows and yellow arrows mean and why the two different colours?

Appreciate your help here guys :)

Just curious as to where on the Yorke the forecast targets? Is it accurate for Pondie, Westcape, Daly Head or Chinamans?

Hey Ben,
What's up with this...
"Looking fun this morning. Excellent swell range for the beaches and theres a gentle wind coming from the SE at the moment. Lets be honest. Its the best wind scenrio for this coast. "

This was written by the reporter this morning. How is a SE wind the best scenario for a coast that is offshore in NE wind? Unless you enjoy surfing cross/onshore waves over offshore waves?

Group of 40 yr old adeladians off to Maldives for first time July 12-23. Anyone got some forecasts for swell for mostly central atoll breaks. Boat will give us options to explore.
Cheers.

Can anyone tell me does the barometric pressure rise on the rising tide?
I know that the diurnal is the pressure change between high and low water approx. 3Mba for 6 hrs or .5Mba per hour which allows you to see if there is a change in the weather. You set your barometer and if it has moved more than .5 mba in one hour you know there is an approaching change .

I'm looking at a five day synoptic forecast and seeing Debbie's low staying offshore the east coast before loosening up a little as it moves mid-Tasman before strengthening as it crosses towards NZ.
North Queensland to North Island. Has to be a first for distance travelled.
