Vicco has fared better than most states on the Spring surf report card. As the whole East Coast is waylaid by an extended flat spell they've woken to yet another mid-size swell - 3 feet west of Melbourne, 5 feet+ to the east.

Kelly Slater's Bells Oop

Today Stab.com ran a short interview with Slater and questioned him about the move: was it the biggest Alley Oop he's ever pulled? "I did one at Bells" he said, "in the expression session that I haven't seen on video, but it felt just as high and I landed cleaner." This is the sequence of that move.

It's amazing to think that a surfing destination like PNG still exists. Last but not least the best surf charter boat (www.pngsurfaris.com) and crew that I’ve seen operating. With some awesome waves, Dogga, Benny, Harry, Doya, Danga, Tedi, Mocca, Crocket and I had a blast.
