Further Developments In The Coral Sea

A Tropical Low over the Coral Sea is undergoing the early stages of cyclogensis, and is expected to develop into a Tropical Cyclone over the next 24 hours.
The most notorious Tasman Low was the system that created havoc for the Sydney to Hobart race of 1998, with extreme winds and possibly the largest recorded wave of all time.
An incredible low pressure system has developed south of the Great Australian Bight over the past 24 hours, and is expected to generate one of the largest swells in years for the Southern Australian coastline.
