Recap

Onshore and poor yesterday with our mix of new swells for today coming in nicely under offshore winds. Sets are 3ft and pushed nicely with the incoming tide.

This weekend and next week (Jul 2 - 8)

Today's mix of swells are due to ease back into tomorrow but still come in at 2ft+ through the morning and with great N/NW offshore winds, tending variable into the afternoon.

A reinforcing pulse of mid-period SW swell is due Sunday, generated by pre-frontal W/NW winds moving along the polar shelf to our south-west today. This should maintain 2ft sets across Clifton and with N/NW tending variable winds again.

Our stronger SW groundswell for Monday is on track, generated by a strong but fast tracking polar low pushing east this evening and tomorrow. A tight fetch of severe-gale to storm-force W/NW winds are due, acting on top an active sea state, with the swell due to arrive overnight Sunday, peaking Monday to a strong 4ft across Clifton along with N/NW tending variable winds again.

The swell will ease through the day and become smaller into Tuesday. 2ft+ waves are due again with morning N/NW winds ahead of a late, shallow SW change.

We've got one final pulse of swell from all the polar activity and that's a mid-period S/SW swell building later Tuesday and peaking Wednesday, generated by a late, strengthening polar front passing under us.

At this stage it looks to kick wave heights back to 2-3ft with light winds but we'll confirm this Monday. Have a great weekend!
