Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 10th July)

Best Days: Keen surfers tomorrow and early Sunday

Recap

Easing surf from the swell earlier in the week, clean and fun to 2ft yesterday, back to 1-1.5ft today.

This week and weekend (Jul 9 - 12)

There's no change to the weekend outlook. We should see inconsistent 1-1.5ft waves persisting tomorrow and Sunday from a slim polar fetch of gales this week. There even may be the odd stray 2ft'er in the mix.

Conditions will be best tomorrow with a N/NW tending variable breeze, with light onshore winds due to kick in Sunday but we may see a dawn W/NW'ly.

Unfortunately the outlook remains slow for us next week with tiny surf due Monday, even slower the days after.

A tiny S/SE groundswell signal is showing on the charts but the polar fetch generating this is slim and unlikely to produce anything over 1ft.

Unfortunately there's nothing significant still on the cards for next weekend and early the following week at this stage so check the East Coast Forecaster Notes. Have a great weekend!
