Tiny surf to continue
Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 13th December)
Best Days: Beginners Tuesday morning and Monday morning
Recap
Favourable morning winds but surf on the small to tiny side of the coin, favourable for beginners.
This week and weekend (Dec 14 - 20)
A couple of weak fronts moving through our swell window yesterday and today should keep tiny 1-1.5ft waves hitting Clifton all weekend, though winds tomorrow will be onshore in the wake of one of the fronts, better Sunday with a N'ly offshore, shifting W/NW ahead of sea breezes.
A new inconsistent pulse of W/SW groundswell for Monday is still on track, though size wise, we're be again looking at surf mostly to 1-1.5ft with the possibility of the odd 2ft'er.
Winds are a touch funky but workable with an early light W breeze, swinging S/SW and then S/SE through the day.
Following this, there's nothing significant on the cards with a good frontal progression firing up west-southwest of WA just being a touch too north and not ideally aligned in our swell window.
Moving into later next weekend there may be some more significance developments on the cards as a deepening low to our west dips south-east through our swell window, but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
