Best Days: Thursday morning, Friday, Saturday morning

Recap

Fun waves yesterday and into this morning with a good swell and early offshores ahead of a change.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This week and weekend (Aug 27 – Sep 1)

The front linked to today's change has generated a great fetch of strong SW winds in our south-western swell window and this should keep the swell up around 3ft tomorrow morning across Clifton ahead of our stronger SW tending S/SW groundswell into the afternoon and Friday morning.

This groundswell is being produced by a stronger trailing front aiming a fetch of W/SW gales through our southern-western swell window, moving more into our southern swell window this evening and tomorrow.

We should see Clifton pushing towards 4ft on the sets tomorrow afternoon, easing from a similar size Friday morning.

Local winds are favourable now for tomorrow morning with a W/NW-NW offshore, W/SW-SW into the afternoon and then great all Friday and N/NW tending E/NE.

Saturday will be clean and fun as the swell backs off from a small 2ft with N/NW winds.

Longer term there's nothing significant on the cards with tiny W'ly swells for most of next week, but more on this Friday.
