This week and weekend (Aug 22 - 25)
Today's solid increase in W/SW swell was generated by a vigorous frontal system pushing across us last night and today, with the tail of the front aiming slightly better aligned SW winds through our swell window.
This fetch will swing even more S/SW through early tomorrow and remain gale-force, resulting in the swell late today swinging more SW, easing tomorrow ahead of a new S/SW swell through the day.
Size wise we're looking at the surf coming in at 4-5ft through tomorrow and swinging more S/SW along with strong S/SW tending SW winds. The swell will ease later in the day.
Friday should become much cleaner but the swell will drop rapidly, easing back from 2-3ft with N/NW winds.
Saturday looks to come in on the tiny side, but a weak front clipping us through the day may generate a small swell to 2ft on Sunday morning with W/NW winds.
Longer term there's nothing too major on the cards besides small clean and fun swells, so make the most of the coming days waves.
