Recap
Tiny to flat waves over the weekend and into this morning and winds swung onshore from mid-morning.
A slight increase in tiny W/SW groundswell to 1-1.5ft is due through this afternoon but with the onshore wind it's not worth hanging out for.
This week and weekend (Dec 27 – Jan 1)
Unfortunately the outlook for this week is still poor with no major swells due across the South Arm.
Tiny 1ft surf is expected tomorrow, event smaller Wednesday and effectively flat Thursday and Friday.
The mid-latitude low mentioned last Friday will sit too far north and weaken significantly once moving across us and Victoria, with no swell at all due off it into Friday and the weekend.
A weak cold front moving under us Sunday may generate a small increase in weak W/SW swell Sunday afternoon but this will only be to 1-2ft max and with W/SW winds once it kicks.
Longer term there is the possibility of a strong mid-latitude low moving in from the west mid-next week, but more on this Wednesday.
