- W/NW tending strong N/NE winds Fri, strong N-N/NW winds Sat, fresh W tending NW winds Sun
Recap
Strong, large sets out of the south Saturday with great conditions in the morning, easing Sunday but best across the south magnets with better winds and 4ft+ sets.
This morning there's nothing left in the tank so I hope you made the most of the swell.
This week and weekend (Mar 9 - 14)
Looking at the current week of surf and there's nothing that stands out at all unfortunately.
A weak polar front clipping us tomorrow isn't expected to bring any decent size, and what we do have to rely on is a small, persistent N/NE swell from Friday through the weekend.
The source of this will be fronts and troughs approaching from the west, through the Bight, squeezing a high in the Tasman Sea, projecting NE winds initially off our coast, towards us, before encroaching on the weekend, bringing the biggest spike in size Saturday.
We'll be looking at 2ft sets on Friday across the magnets, tiny elsewhere, with Saturday seeing surf more to 3ft, fading Sunday from 2ft.
Winds on Friday look NW ahead of stronger N/NE sea breezes, stiff N-N/NW on Saturday and then W tending NW on Sunday.
Longer term there's still nothing significant on the cards so try and make the most of Saturday afternoon in northern corners and Sunday morning.
