Limited surf potential
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 8th January)
Best Days: Southern corners for the desperate Tuesday
Features of the Forecast (tl;dr)
- Small N/NE windswell for Tue with SW tending SE winds
Recap
A fun, easing E/SE swell yesterday morning from 1-2ft, while today we've got a very inconsistent S'ly groundswell that's now easing across the state.
This weekend and next week (Jan 9 - 15)
Looking at the coming forecast period and unfortunately there's nothing of interest at all.
A fetch of N/NE winds feeding into an approaching front won't be too ideally aimed, but it'll be quite elongated, stretching from a position north-east of us, up the southern NSW coast Monday evening.
We'll likely see a small 1-2ft waves Tuesday and a SW tending strong SE change as the front pushes through will favour southern corners.
There'll be no decent swell generated in the wake of the front and long-term there's nothing on the cards until possibly next weekend. More on this in next week's notes though.
In the meantime check the South Arm Forecaster Notes. Have a great weekend!
