Very slow period ahead
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 16th November)
Best Days: No great days, try Friday morning at north swell magnets
Recap
Fading NE swell from a clean, fun 2ft on the sets Saturday, tiny yesterday. Today we've got a tiny N/NE windswell continuing across the region.
This week and weekend (Nov 17 - 22)
As touched on in last week's updates, there isn't much to work with for the coming period unfortunately.
A low moving across us today will have no strength and the fetch on its backside will be too zonal to generate any size.
Our small N/NE windswell flagged for later in the week is a bit hit and miss.
A weakening trough moving in from the west will generate a weak, limited fetch of strong N'ly winds through our northern swell window Thursday evening and early Friday.
We should see a small pulse of weak swell only to 1-2ft Friday morning but with W/NW tending strong S'ly winds as the the trough moves through.
The S'ly change looks to generate some weak S'ly windswell but to no major size Saturday, possibly 2ft+, and with onshore winds.
Following this there's still nothing major on the cards, but more on this in Wednesday's notes.
