Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 30th October)

Best Days: Today, tomorrow morning

Recap

Good waves with a drop in E'ly swell to the 4ft range yesterday morning, back to a fun and consistent 2-3ft today with generally light winds.

This weekend and next week (Oct 31 – Nov 6)

A reinforcing pulse of E/SE swell keeping the surf around 2-3ft this afternoon should still keep similar sized sets hitting swell magnets early tomorrow before easing off through the day.

Get in early for the most size and conditions should be clean with a light offshore ahead of N/NE sea breezes.

A trough will bring a S/SE change on Sunday, swinging SE into the afternoon and with no new decent swell.

The possible swell generating fetch on the southern flank of a low moving off the southern NSW coast will be too weak and short-lived to generate any decent swell into early next week with tiny waves now due across the region.

The only other source of swell looks to be some weak, N/NE windswell through Wednesday but to no major size and then a follow up S'ly windswell Thursday with average winds.

Therefore make the most of today's and tomorrow's easing surf. Have a great weekend!
