Small S'ly swell over the weekend, nothing further
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 22nd April)
Best Days: Sunday morning south swell magnets
Recap
Tiny waves yesterday while today a weak onshore S/SE windswell provided junky 1-2ft sets.
This weekend and next week (Apr 23 - 29)
A cold front that's currently passing under us will produce a fetch of strong to gale-force SW winds through our southern swell window this afternoon and evening. A small S'ly groundswell should result, filling in tomorrow afternoon and reaching 2-3ft across south facing beaches, easing back from a similar size Sunday morning.
Winds tomorrow are average with a morning SW'ly expected to swing onshore into the afternoon, with Sunday morning being the pick under a W/NW offshore ahead of weak sea breezes.
Also in the mix Sunday and Monday should be some tiny E/NE swell but not above 1ft across open beaches, fading into Tuesday.
Unfortunately for the rest of the forecast period there's nothing significant at all on the cards for our coast.
Therefore try and make the most of Sunday morning's waves at south swell magnets
