Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 27th July)

Best Days: Tuesday morning

Recap

No real surf over the weekend, while this morning the beginnings of a new S'ly swell was seen, and we should of seen a solid increase through the day, with reports in the South Arm and satellite observations of the fetch around the low looking really good.

This week and weekend (Jul 28 – Aug 2)

Today's pulse of S'ly swell will be short-lived, with the low generating it moving off quickly to the east and out of our swell window.
South facing beaches are due to ease from 2-3ft early, and become tiny into the afternoon, with W/SW winds.

For the rest of the week there's no swell due, and into the weekend, we'll see a series of vigorous polar frontal systems projected across the state, but each front will be very west in nature, with no significant swell due until the progression pushes further east.

This should happen early next week, and that's when the swell should start to wrap in, but we'll have a closer look at this Wednesday.
