This weekend and next week (Sep8-Sep15)

Central QLD:  Fun surf into the weekend with a SE surge next week set to deliver more fun surf

Fun sized surf has developed through Thurs and into today on the right tides.

Few fun ones today

No change to the weekend f/cast. A high near New Zealand moves away today, weakening the ridge and tradewind fetch in the Coral Sea. That will see surf hold Sat, before a slow easing Sun, with small tradewind swell from the South Pacific holding some minor E swell at exposed breaks on the Burnett Coast. Tiny elsewhere.

Into next week and a fresh, strong high generates a SE surge through Mon that should seed a fresh round of fun surf for CQ. Expect a building trend Tues into the 2ft range, likely to hold Wed.

SE surge Mon generates more surf for CQ

More tradewinds are expected to then broaden out across the Coral Sea suggesting fun surf for most of next week.

Check back Mon for the latest and have a great weekend!
