This weekend and next week (Aug25-Sep1)

Central QLD:  Fun surf pattern extends into next week

Small, fun waves on offer today with more over the weekend and into next week.

On the small side, but definitely rideable

No change to f/cast. We’ve got tradewinds now established in the Central Coral Sea and the development of small, fun surf across CQ. We should see size hold from this source at similar levels (1-2ft) over the weekend.

Into next week and reinforcing high pressure rebuilds the tradewinds through Mon, with surf likely to build a notch into the 2ft+ range and hold into Tues/Wed at this stage. Tradewinds retreat mid week with surf easing, although we may see small, longer range surf at spots with exposure to the Capricorn Channel hold into later next week.

In short, there’s waves, go get ‘em.

Check back Mon for the latest and have a great weekend!
