This week and next week (Aug23-Sep1)

Central QLD:  Rideable waves building into the weekend, increasing in size into next week

Surf has slowly increased but remains tiny, further increases are expected into the weekend.

Trying, not quite there yet

High pressure moving over the continent and into the Tasman has been a bit delayed by a trough, which has disrupted the developing tradewind flow and reduced surf over the last 24hrs.

We should see that tradewind flow start to get going through tomorrow with surf developing Thurs in the 1-2ft range and persisting Fri in the 2ft range.

Next week now looks juicier with the tradewind flow strengthening and extending southwards, which will see surf build to 2-3ft through Mon, and extend into the middle of next week at similar size.

We may even see bigger surf if a trough develops in the Coral Sea but thats a long way off and models are still all over the shop.

Check back Fri and we’ll see how it’s shaping up.
