Most look forward to the weekend to get their surfing fix.

When a good sized swell coincides with the weekend, crowds amass on the coast and battle each other to try and fill their quota.

Hopefully enough waves are caught to get through the following working week.

There are rewards for those who stray away from the popular surfing centres, searching for less crowded lineups.
