Squinting Through The Half Light
You know the ritual...
The TV weatherman points to a promising feature on the map and says a few heartening words. Calls are made, plans are arranged. From there its fitful sleep, the trill of an alarm clock, and lightfoot it out of the house in the dark. A carpark rendezvous, handshake, then climb the dune as the first rays of light beat the horizon.
Jack Dekort provides the vision on another Sunshine Coast morning. //STUART NETTLE
