Maldives April Swell Report
Report presented by World Surfaris.
This is possibly the easiest swell report I've ever had to write! We've been here at Hudhuranfushi in the Maldives for the last three weeks and can happily report there's been waves every day. As is typical for early season the waves have not been big but conditions have been incredible with sheet glass mornings, light offshore afternoons and golden, glassy evenings.
The biggest issue has been trying to decide where to surf. With the swell out of the S/SE combined with perfect winds all the waves in the north Male region have been breaking. Some guests have even been getting quite stressed trying to decide where to go and surf! Most days Cokes and Chickens, the two waves to the north of Hudhuranfushi, have been slightly bigger and more hollow, while Jails, to the south, has been so long and playful that guests have reported catching the longest waves of their lives!
It's been a great start to the season. Here's a selection of shots from the last three weeks.
