East Coast Loneliness
From Tweed Heads to Eden the whole NSW coast is feeling the effects of an East Cost Low. The low pressure system, which formed on Wednesday, has been directing a strong sou-easterly flow toward the coast. The surf today has increased to a sizeable 10 foot+ but unfortunately the relentless onshore wind is ripping the waves to shreds.
Swellnet forecaster, Craig Brokensha, spent a few hapless hours driving around Sydney's Northern and Eastern Beaches looking for waves only to return without seeing a single 'rideable' wave. He did, however, take these beautiful photos of the Sydney coast getting hammered by the full force of the East Coast Low. //STUART NETTLE
