Torrential rain, filthy water, onshore winds and a junky swell.

That's what greeted weekend warriors, but it all had to change at some point.

Unluckily for those who have to do the 9-5, it's come on a Tuesday.

The rain backed off, winds swung offshore and the swell even muscled up a notch. The only thing missing was clear blue skies, but just personally, I don't think anyone was complaining about that this morning (besides the photographers!) //CRAIG BROKENSHA
