Wednesday's tiny S'ly groundswell eased through yesterday leaving even small waves across the South Arm, while today the surf is near flat with no decent surfing options.
This weekend (Jan 18 - 19)
Tomorrow will remain tiny but a new W/SW groundswell is due Sunday as a mid-latitude front dipping south-east from under WA generates a fetch of W/SW gales through our swell window. The unfavourable track will only limit the size to 1-2ft across Clifton Sunday with morning W/NW winds before fading Monday.
Next week (Jan 20 onwards)
A better SW groundswell is due later Tuesday and into Wednesday as a relatively weak polar front pushes on a more favourable track up and into us early next week (pictured above). This swell should peak Wednesday to 2ft+ or so across Clifton but with onshore SW winds. Cleaner conditions are due Thursday with a return to offshores.
