Best Days: Early Thursday, Friday morning, Sunday morning
Recap
Merry Christmas from the Swellnet team! Tiny waves were seen through yesterday, but a fun W/SW groundswell has come in above our expectations of 2ft, to 2-3ft across Clifton this morning under light offshore winds.
This week (Dec 26 - 27)
Today's pulse of W/SW swell should ease through tomorrow, but there should be some 1-2ft waves on offer early under W/NW winds.
A new W/SW swell should fill in Friday offering inconsistent 1-2ft waves across Clifton, generated by a cold front that's currently slipping south-east, to the west of us (pictured right).
This weekend onwards (Dec 28 onwards)
Friday's swell will then fade Saturday with a spike in W/SW swell due Sunday as a strengthening cold front pushes across us. This will aim a fetch of strong to gale-force SW winds into us (pictured right), kicking up 2ft or so of W/SW swell. Winds should be favourable and from the W/NW early, with all day offshores Monday as the swell fades.
Longer term there's nothing major on the cards so make the most of the small pulses expected over the coming period.
