There are so many ways to give medication.
Vaccinations are usually given into the deltoid muscle (upper arm) as it is well vascularised (ie. has lots of blood vessels) and therefore can be distributed round the body easily. You can also apply IM injection into the thigh (vastus lateralis) or gluteal muscle.
IM injections are far less risky than IV, due to lower risk of haematoma/trauma (bruising), introduction of pathogen (via peripheral line infection) and sheer ease of administration.
Lostdoggy is correct we also give meds S/C, IV, IM but also IO (intra-osseous) into the long bones-this is only an emergency procedure when patient is crashing and we can't get IV access (does not apply to vaccines).

Also other IV options include:
CVC (central venous catheter), usually via inner-jugular, subclavian or femoral vein;
Vascath for CVVHDF (short term dialysis in critically ill ICU patients);
Permath/Portacath usually for Chemo patients.

There aren’t lots of medical specialists advocating for ivermectin supafreak. Just a few people, and all of the research which has been done doesn’t back up their claims. That’s all.

With apologies though, I shouldn’t post when I’ve had a few, but ivermectin has been looked at. The idea that there is some miracle cure out there that has been suppressed is just entirely unlikely. The difference between anecdotal observations is you quoting individuals, and the rest of the scientific community not backing the people you are quoting, after having done tests themselves and finding that it didn’t work in the way your favourite doctor said it would.

I know quite a few of these researchers, they’re incapable of pulling a swifty, wouldn’t know how. If it was efficacious, it would be world page one news. It isn’t.

If you’re right, I’ll come back and apologise, but what you’re implying is that there is an underground conspiracy to deny empirical research, implying further that there is some cabal of hidden actors pulling all our strings. It ain’t happening on the research front, but it is happening on the political front.

In terms of big pharma there is great reason to be highly sceptical, but this is bigger than big pharma. Ivermectin is not a cure - it has no vaccination properties, that is a clinical certainty by definition, and so far it has no real medical consensus as a treatment - something that happens after you are infected. Sorry, that’s just the consensus of people who spend their lives studying these things. There are always outliers, sometimes the outliers are right. Mostly though, they are just crackpots.

Sorry, not going to get into posting links battles. I’m sure if I googled ‘frogs legs cure for Covid’, or ‘eye of newt cure for Covid’, I’d get some hits. Presenting websites as verification is a little bit BS. If it ain’t in the British Medical Journal or something similar, I’m really not going to read it.
