Labor are preferencing the greens everywhere in all seats in the no.2 spot when they said they wouldn’t so Albo is just lying once again.
Super clinics but no doctors…don’t need a co payment but yes you do…greens .inheritance tax on the table if they get in as it was a labor policy once before…..
Plus they want to go after the superannuation trust that Costello set up for public servants…..and while I like renewables, eventually we will need a baseload power system as well to compensate as Europe have already found out .
Defence spending is nowhere and we have committed troops to Ukraine while the Indonesian leaders are regular visitors to Moscow.
So there are a lot of fibs going around and simply to retain power which seems to be like a sport in Australia….
Regardless of what you think it was only obvious that conservatives would stick together as the coalition and one nation are doing just as the marxists of Labor and the greens are doing…..
Anyway, vote with your conscience with how you would like your world to run and the beauty is we can because it’s a free country….
Respect everyone’s views and may the winner do the best they can for us as a society.

Geez reckon theg could also do some subs a lot cheaper.... ha
What a debacle.

The latest Roy Morgan Poll as Labor at 55.5% and the Coalition at 44.5%, TPP.

On that basis Labor would form a majority government.

Has sports bet started a book on who will take over from spud ? I can’t see the liberals having a woman leading them so would Angus be the front running leech ?

Hi Super!
It looks like Spud may be in some trouble trying to retain his seat.
Regardless of who becomes leader of the LP, they are destined for irrelevancy and possibly oblivion.
A talentless pool of contenders and a dearth of any policies vaguely resembling a plan or vision for the future will assure that.
Cheers!

Andrew Hastie's name has been thrown around recently.
Angus Taylor as leader of the LNP would be as useful as Dutton is now.

I'd been wondering about Hastie's near-invisibility this campaign.
I may be wrong but it feels like he's being strategically hidden from view so the Coalition can appeal to more moderate voters. Hastie is an attack dog in the vein of Abbott or Spud Mk1. In a campaign marked by congeniality between contestants, where Teals are making big inreods, it would make sense to hide Hastie while giving Angus Taylor the K-Mart catalogue model more air time.

I think Andrew H is being kept out of the light to keep him clean for a leadership tilt after this election. Reckon the Libs might have written this one off.
From what I understand he’s actually OK at working across the aisle and he’s fairly well liked in the hallways of parliament.

I get his email newsletter every week and it's as consistently partisan and full of lies as any others I read. Much more concerned with tearing down then offering solutions.

Furry muff.
I don’t get his newsletters so I can’t comment on that.
Family friends of ours are pretty deep in the Labor machine in QLD - one of them was a Federal MP for over a decade. They said his reputation is pretty good.

Hastie is my Member, hard religious right, totally hard core against renewables, was part of the destabilization within the Liberal party have also heard he is good to deal with and I respect he was one of the few if only SAS officer to call out Roberts Smith, I still couldn't vote for him.

So the better economic managers have based their figures for nuclear power on the Australian economy shrinking.
Guess if they win they could have a point!
Couldn't make this stuff up, and Dutton and co consider themselves serious people... ???

Bernard Keane (Crikey) is in blistering form today on the Liberals' defence announcement.
Might as well put this up in the politics subforum, to spare the front page. It's 18 months away or so, but here we go.
This is how Dutton wins:
