Yes , but he was asked not to while certain people were still alive . In the rogan podcast he did say he thought the time was now right, promises are one thing, for filling them is another .

Well shit loads of other people world wide probably did watch it,

It was actually a video watched by

So if you think that you not watching it is a problem for humanity,
I can see the hilarious side to it .
Below average ? You’re way too kind .

Well just because they’re left bias and have occasional fact check, mixed credibility compared to low credibility for Fox News,
They still have a lot of information that isn’t fact checked,
Do they even rate X and Instagram as News Sources ,that could be your problem.
And the last video you didn’t watch was NBC , but you know what you’re talking about anyway.
Haha
And who fact checks media bias factchecking anyway?

So it’s a wait and see if the executive orders get carried out . I see Trump has a special team to insure that they do , again wait and see .
@jeffy , if it’s a slow day in the taxis, have you thought about dominoes ?
the newsweek feed now has full disclosure of JFK, if you guys haven't mentioned it already:
https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-executive-orders-list-president-si...
"Declassification of JFK Files
The order says that "the continued redaction and withholding of information from records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is not consistent with the public interest and the release of these records is long overdue."
The order requires the director of national intelligence and attorney general, along with the assistant to the president for national security affairs and counsel to the president, to present a plan within 15 days for the "full and complete records" related to the assassination.
They will then have 45 days to present plans on the release of information on the assassinations of assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., according to the order.
"More than 50 years after the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Federal Government has not released to the public all of its records related to those events. Their families and the American people deserve transparency and truth. It is in the national interest to finally release all records related to these assassinations without delay," the order says."

The Republicans move to start the process for changing the Constitution , for a possible
Trump third term.
Good to see trump delivering election promises.
I thought he was going to be a dictator and use the military.
tubeshooter wrote:I thought he was going to be a dictator and use the military.
He’s still got 4 years, and depending on
how the all powerful Supreme Court feels about everything.
Can't see it happening.
You need two thirds majority in both the House and Senate to propose an amendment.
To ratify it you'll then need three quarters of the States to approve it, 38 of 50.
It's dead on arrival as they say.
Third term? He'll be dead by then.

Yes but Presdential immunity isn’t in the Constitution , but the Republicans, with the help of the Supreme Court, somehow created it,
And insuurrectionists not allowed to run for President again, is in the Constitution,
But the Supreme Court just waived it for Trump ,
So it depends on how corrupt the Supreme Court and other Courts want to
be , or not be.
quote=Sprout]Third term? He'll be dead by then.
Musk will keep Trump alive. As long as he’s useful. Emperor Elon’s Space X biochemists have figured out the trouble with lichen. The Donald is patient two. Elon himself has Benjamin Buttoned before our eyes - all that exuberant youthful bounding and jumping around, can't control his limbs. Look at that hairline. Notice how there’s no talk of Trump’s cognitive decline all of a sudden? Not even on NBC. He’s rejuvenated! As soon as he hooked up with Elon. Quid pro quo. Everyone said the bromance wouldn’t last. Now we know why.
MAGA won 30 states last time around, they have 27 Governors. With the coercive financial and communications power of the Emperor and the lesser broligarchs, an application for an amendment to alter the constitution to provide for unlimited presidential terms put by 34 of the States, then ratified by 38 of the States, seems doable over the next four years.
Wikipedia also tells me that there’s some Constitutional scholarship that says there’s nothing in the Constitution that precludes the People from amending the Constitution, independent from the government. Some might suggest that Jan 6 shows that Trump’s got Mark Antony level talent for demagoguery. So inciting the People to drum up an amendment for unlimited goes in the Oval shouldn’t be too much drama. He’s far and away the demagogue that’s flown the highest, if that’s what you think he is. And surely this would be the approach where his Supreme Court could give him a leg up.
Jeff's on to something.
[2:50] Trump's most enduring and repeated lie!
"If you don't make yer Product in America, which is your prerogative, then very simply you will have to pay a Tariff, differing amounts, but a Tariff which will direct 100's of Billion's and even Trillion's of Dollars into our treasury to strengthen our economy and Pay Down Debt."
Quote : "No ya won't!" Everyone at the World Economic Forum knows who pays the Tariffs and they all know it's not them!"
Reality Check...Ain't no one in the world is required to pay Trump's Tariff...the only people that stupid to pay and can & will pay the Trump Tariffs are those that can contribute to the US Treasury...
That's you...The People of the United States of America!"
Any & only an American can release the imported goods by paying the Tariff to the Customs Officer!
He / She not of any other sex is permitted to collect the Tariff from an American at the Dock...who then hands Treasury the money...Only now can the American sell the Product at a higher price to a fellow American to recover Trump's tariff.
No foreign Country has ever paid one penny of tariffs to the United States in the History of Tariffs...
A Trump tariff is taking money from Americans in exactly the same way that a Trump Tax is taking money from Americans and Prez Trump doesn't want you to know that his Tariffs take money from You...the Dumbarse Americans.
No one else in the universe is as pissweak or stupid as a yank to ever pay any dumb Trump Tariff!
Stamp yer foreheads with [Bloody Idiot]

Trump embarrasses himself at the world economic forum. What a farking clown. Watching him now shows how little he will really accomplish in 4 years. Sledgehammers might work for him in the US with a bunch of compliant sycophantic MAGA morons…not so much on the world stage.
The demanded interest rate drop was beyond dumb and clueless.

Musk met with t far right wing parties in England and Germany
And the US white supremacy and Nazi groups are certainly saying Musk is with them.

Trump never had any intention of improving things in the US
That’s a naive fairy tail,
All him and his oligarchs want is more power and more money for themselves.
not really about angles, they completely edited out the aggressive forward facing salute, where he was biting his bottom lip and fisting (well, flat-palm Kanchō-ing) Middle America's Giant Anus.

Jokes aside far as the names go, it's disappointing. One for Clinton (never in Navy) and GW Bush? There's already one named for GHW Bush (the elder) - bet that won't get confusing: "I told you to fly the supplies to the Bush task force! Not the Bush task force!" The elder Bush at least was a naval aviator, only one of his squadron to survive one mission.
USN has some absolutely famous names they could have used: Yorktown (fought till the end at Midway), Lexington (sacrificed to defend Australia at Coral Sea), Hornet (did the B25 raid on Tokyo, went down in a bitter fight at the battle of Santa Cruz), Saratoga, Independence, Constellation, Kitty Hawk (birth of flight), but they named them after bloody politicians.
At least they've got Enterprise coming. And one named after JFK - who was a PT boat commander in the Solomons fighting, and when his PT boat was run over by the Japanese destoyer Amagiri, he used his swimming strength to get his crew to the nearest island, real hero stuff, and a real navy link.
Hope Trump reverses the naming and gives them great names again.

This was an election promise and a good move. It was well received.
curious as to why you think it was a good move flollo?
the haters are making hay about the guy being complicit in killing people and destroying people's lives...
which is very traditionally conservative view to take regarding drug dealers
personally I take a more personal autonomy view to people sourcing drugs and drug dealers, so don't really buy into that conservative perspective
however, I think it is an interesting dude to pardon given his role in the above, and seems a bit risky
I guess it falls under the libertarian view around drugs, markets, autonomy...
once again, the conservative v progressive dichotomy is turned on it's head
I understand trump's position, but curious as to why you think it's such a good move?
It had nothing to do with conservatism. Libertarian circles have advocated for his release for a long time. Both Trump and Kennedy (while a candidate) made election promises to have him released. Many argued that sentence he got was too extreme. All his convictions were for non violent crimes. He was also a first time offender. 2 x life in prison + 40 years with inability for a parole. He’s now a free man after 12 years in prison. Part of me thinks that this is enough. Especially after COVID where high level bureaucrats made life altering decisions on a population level. Everyone just brushed it off like nothing ever happened and no one was held responsible for bad decision. So yeah, I don’t mind this decision.

Kind of thought big navel war ships are becoming obsolete with many countries now possessing supersonic missiles??
Silk road guy should have never been sent to jail. Personal freedom should allow you to take a substance if you wish if you are not hurting anyone else.
Prohibition has never worked and never will.
Don't know much about what he was selling but would guess not too much crystal meth or fetenyl which are the horror drugs of the moment.
My 2 cents worth...
andy-mac wrote:Kind of thought big navel war ships are becoming obsolete with many countries now possessing supersonic missiles??
There's an escalation between capability and the ability to defend from this. Thus aircraft sealed the fate of the surface ship in 1940/1 with Taranto and Pearl Harbour, but by 1944 the AA umbrella was so fierce that the Japanese had to resort to suicide attacks to get through, and today we still have surface ships, with much more ability to shoot down much more stuff further away.
Next up is the delivery, to get an accurate fix on a moving target for a fast missile, a force is going to have to have recon elements that can target it while the missile is in flight - which can easily be shot down. Hence the emphasis on satellite and space domains for complete battlespace picture in real time. Other, slower cruise missiles can network and navigate by themselves and a saturation attack by these is one of the hardest challenges at present for air defence.
Similarly, drone subs have made subs obsolete, apparently. Only there are communication problems with getting the drones to real time target, and so their use is at present to 'drop off stuff' and survey. It's not yet a replacement for a fast SSN with full crew and it's own decision making. By the time it is, the SSN will be running with it's own screen of drones a bit like the picket destroyers to warn of kamikaze attacks at the end of WW2.
