even more so now with head now gone for 1.
Thanks for the update. I’ve been watching postcards motel hell 1 & 2 since the lunch break.
This test match is the first cricket I’ve watched in 30 years. Been enjoying it.
Geez Head totally flubbed this match
fuck me, marsh for a duck..
farkenhell. Bumrah has just completely disemboweled the Australian team in 10 minutes. Disaster.
He has cast a spell. Bit more in the day 4 wicket.
300 seems a lot further away now!
Marsh has to go though. Zero impact with bat or ball.
150 would be good after that.

now beheading them.
It's getting worse...
My tummy hurts.
Day One seems like years ago.
A target of 250 may be enough. Bat for an hour after tea and try to blast them out.
I think we'll be lucky to get there @blackers. Thank fuck Cummins can bat so fingers crossed.
Can't see India collapsing with a full head of steam. Only hope is the pitch turns to shit and Lyon gets the ball moving sideways.
I don't think i've ever seen a pace bowler as terrifying as Bumrah in that every single ball looks like it could take a wicket.
As good as all of the past greats have been. Every single ball of his you look to see how many balls are left in the over until there's a reprieve.
There was something written on cricinfo about the two balls that got Head and Marsh.
Bounced in the same spot, but there was a 50cm difference in height where it was when it reached the batsman. There’s great bowling and a lively pitch:
Glass half full Paul. Not long to go til tea. The pitch is certainly more lively than yesterday.
haha I"m trying @blackers!!
220 plus is still nothing to be sniffed at as a chase.
Booma has the kookiest run up but then WOW!!!
Fantastic bowling.
One glass half full scenario is that India have had major batting collapses already several times in this series. :D
Its crazy how it looks like all his momentum is going one way yet he gets the ball to go the other way @seeds. Must be so confusing to bat against. Especially like they say with his long reach and deep release point.
Oooh deep release point. Kama Sutra? Hehe
Been a while since I had a deep release point.
He’s no doubt much more talented than me.
haha. Holiday mode @seeds. Anything goes on the couch.
Ah that’s the answer, the couch. I’ll talk to the other half. Hahaha
Anyone wanna throw a declaration out there. Score or timing?
It might be crazy but i reckon i'd put india in to bat for the last 45mins of today, regardless of the score.
Get them in that tricky period and also leaves a bit of time tomorrow.
Also don't wanna score too big that they try to draw. We need to win this game. But yeah, that could backfire badly.
That's if we survive batting that long obviously.
If we can last an hour after tea they will be chasing 300+. It's certainly possible, look at what the 2 young fellas did yesterday.
I think we are gonnas. Batting slow and not taking risks could’ve got us a 350 run lead. I think India will smash any total we post, they’ll treat it like a 20/20 game, our bowlers are tired, sore and carrying minor injuries.
This amoebic like disease that spreads fast with batsmen dangling their bats and nicking off is a big problem in our team.
There’s no patience anymore.
Leave or defend the good balls punish the bad ones.
If we put them in later, not get a wicket before stumps, they’ll win. AW
Get 300+ as a minimum. Don’t declare. Just go at it swinging and ride their luck past that.
If you get quick runs, good. If you get India in for a few overs at the end of the day, good.
Couldn't agree more AW. Australia have a bad habit of 2nd innings collapses. Like they keep saying, no front foot movement.
@blackers i reckon 280 to 300 will give us a fighting chance and should give us a little spell to bowl at days end. Bowlers will have had some rest and then can rest up overnight again.
Maybe first half hour play conservative and then go hell for leather for next hour. Wickets be damned. ha
Bumrah is the difference in this game.
4 wickets in the first innings.
4 wickets so far in this one.
He’s got Head and Marsh in both inning for a total of 5 runs.
yep. he's got to go.
Also, the family test match is going strong.
2 innings, 6 wickets per innings
Wife and 9yo are Australia
Me and the 7yo are India
Kelpie fields for both teams.
AUS 1st innings 105
IND 1st innings 51
AUS 2nd innings 4/73
Now time for a quick beach break.
Only about half a dozen meltdowns so far. Kids trash talking each other.
Awesome, love it.
haha epic @etarip.
Kelpie sounds like a goer!
Hmm i reckon we need to declare and give them a chaseable target to make runs.
India can just comfortably draw the game and win the series.
Fark this could be a problem though.
what say ye now, fellers?
Bloody umpire!
Would b happy to crawl to 280 @base
If they can just hang in there for another 40 odd minutes and be a little bit annoying to the bowlers,....
Starc can let loose now and then, they are going okay, every run is important. Probably cooked, but it will go to day 5.
Woohoo! Glad i put 5 days aside for it! Rare to get a five dayer nowadays. Carn Aussies!!
runouts are unacceptable right now
Nix that, cooked
This is a little better.
At the very least the crowds settled a little.
This is a rollercoaster.
Marsh is a real worry. He didn’t take a wicket in the first innings and was going for 4 an over. Hasn’t scored any runs this series since a 47 in Perth.
yeah might be time for Marsh to go. Apparently just had a firstborn in their family so maybe a bit sleep deprived.
I reckon Cummins getting out was a blessing in disguise.
We have to bowl that last 45mins if we're going to win the match.
Would be alot easier for India to come out and get settled first thing tomorrow than to put them in tonight and unsettle them. In my opinion.
Especially if Boland gets on a roll.
And the pendulum swings yet again..
Adv Australia.
300 is par for the last innings i reckon
Good to see the frustration levels rising.
