A new S/SW groundswell seen into the afternoon eased back from 5-6ft or so on Sunday morning but with lingering onshore winds. Mandurah was the pick with clean conditions and 2ft sets.
This morning the swell has eased back a touch more, though conditions cleaned up with 4-5ft sets across the South West, 1-2ft in Mandurah and 1-1.5ft in Perth.

This week and weekend (Dec 4 – 9)
A slight increase in mid-period SW swell is due through tomorrow afternoon, but a weak mid-latitude front will move in and bring onshore SW winds, swinging more W/SW into the afternoon.
A better mid-period SW swell is due to arrive later Wednesday and peak Thursday morning, but the size expected from this swell has been downgraded a touch though winds are looking better.
This swell is being generated by a broad and slow moving but relatively weak frontal system that's currently west-southwest of us, with a fetch of strong W/SW winds being projected towards us.
Margs should peak around 6ft to occasionally 8ft across the exposed reefs Thursday morning, with 2ft to occasionally 3ft waves in Mandurah and inconsistent 2ft sets in Perth.
We should see variable winds Wednesday morning but before the swell really kicks, while Thursday looks great with a light E/SE offshore across Margs, a little less favourable and more S/SE-SE across Perth and Mandurah.
Come Friday winds are looking a little dicey with an early S/SE breeze, tending onshore mid-morning as high pressure system ridges in from the west.
Across the south-east corner of this ridge, a strong polar front will project a stronger fetch of W/SW-SW gales up towards the south-west corner of the state.
A large long-period SW groundswell should be seen Saturday afternoon, building strongly to 8-10ft by dark in the South West, 3ft in Mandurah and 2ft+ in Perth.
Winds look offshore in the morning, with sea breezes into the afternoon, while Sunday as the swell eases looks a little suspect at this stage. Check back here on Wednesday for more details on the weekend.
