Recap
A weak windswell was in the water yesterday with workable onshore winds for beginners. Tiny today and becoming increasingly choppy with strengthening NE winds.
This week and next (Jan 16 - 24)
Into tomorrow a long-range, inconsistent and tiny W/SW groundswell is due, mixed in with a tiny windswell generated by a trough moving across us early morning.
Clifton doesn’t look to get above 1ft+ and a morning W/NW breeze is due to shift more W/SW through the day.
A secondary weak front moving in tomorrow may generate 1ft to occasionally 2ft of swell for later Friday and Saturday morning, while a polar fetch of stronger gales should generate a more reliable S/SW swell pulse Sunday to 2ft.
Local winds on Friday look onshore out of the SW-S/SW in the wake of the trough tomorrow, with Saturday morning seeing light N’ly winds ahead of E/NE sea breezes.
Sunday will be OK as well with moderate N/NE winds, stronger E/NE into the afternoon.
Longer term the outlook remains slow with tiny surf so try the North East Forecaster notes for more options.
