Recap
Tiny surf yesterday, increasing through the afternoon as some new E/SE swell arrived, peaking today to a fun 2ft with clean conditions.
This week and weekend (Aug 1 - 4)
The current E/SE swell energy from the strong Tasman Low should start easing tomorrow from a slow 2ft as some new, inconsistent W/SW groundswell energy fills in.
This looks to also be around 2ft but with long waits, with both easing on Friday from 1-2ft.
A N/NW tending NE breeze is due tomorrow, with fresher N/NW tending N/NE winds on Friday.
The weekend looks tiny, with the next increase in swell due later Monday but more so Tuesday, generated by a weak but healthy polar front moving through our swell window from Friday through the weekend.
It’ll be slow moving and should produce 2ft+ of swell at its peak Tuesday morning under N/NW-NW winds.
Following this there’s nothing too significant to follow but check back Friday for the latest.
