Recap
Choppy surf with onshore winds yesterday, better today with a more variable wind and 1-2ft sets. Winds are now onshore and conditions are choppy.
This week and next (Jan 5 - 13)
Looking at the coming end of the week, and a weak front currently passing under us should maintain 1-2ft surf through tomorrow and Friday morning but winds will linger from the S'th during tomorrow, freshening from the S/SE. A lighter, more variable breeze due Friday morning from the S/SE. This looks to be the pick for the keen.
Saturday looks to ease from 1-1.5ft and conditions will be clean with a moderate N/NE breeze, shifting E/NE and strengthening through the day.
We'll then see the surf bottom out into Sunday and Monday with N/NE tending E/NE winds on the former and a variable winds Monday morning ahead of a trough and strong S'ly change.
Unfortunately this looks to leave strong S/SW winds through Tuesday with a junky, building S'ly windswell.
Lighter winds and easing surf are due into Wednesday with a possible SE swell to follow later in the week. More on this Friday.
