Recap

Clean but tiny surf yesterday morning before onshore winds moved in, while today we've got a new S-S/SE swell and clean conditions. Sets to 2-3ft were reported this morning and winds should remain favourable all day as the swell peaks more to a consistent 3ft this afternoon (it looks to be already there).

Solid S sets early afternoon today

This week and weekend (Nov 3 - 6)

Today's S'ly swell energy will fade into tomorrow, only to be replaced by moderate levels of mid-period SW swell that will hold Friday ahead of the strongest pulse of energy Saturday.

Also in the mix will be some groundswell Friday and Saturday afternoon, generated by stronger fetches of severe-gales embedded within a conveyer belt of frontal activity that's swinging in from the Indian Ocean, over towards us.

The elongated nature of the frontal train and back to back activity will generate some decent sized swells for us, with tomorrow and Friday due to come in around 3ft, mixed in with the rare bigger one across Clifton, while Saturday's mix of swells look stronger and more to 3-4ft across Clifton.

Easing surf is due from Sunday, dropping back from 3ft on the sets, smaller Monday and to 2ft.

Looking at the local winds and a moderate to fresh W/NW breeze is due tomorrow morning, shifting W/SW and strengthening mid-late morning.

Friday should see weaker W/NW winds in the morning, tending variable ahead of SE sea breezes, while Saturday is dicey as a trough moves through the region. Early variable winds are due to tend SW by mid-morning, then SE into the afternoon while freshening.

Sunday looks much cleaner and better with N/NW offshore winds ahead of E/SE tending E/NE sea breezes.

Longer term there's nothing too major on the cards for us, but we'll have a closer look at this on Friday.
