This week and weekend (Mar 6 - 11)

Today's tiny increase in swell is expected to fade back through tomorrow from 1ft+ across Clifton with a morning offshore.

Our new swell for Thursday has been upgraded, produced by a strong polar low that's currently forming south-west of us.

A fetch of severe-gale to nearly storm-force W/SW winds will generate a good S/SW groundswell for later Wednesday, kicking to 3ft into the late afternoon, easing from a similar size Thursday morning.

Sea breezes will be in Wednesday afternoon, though Thursday morning looks great with NW winds.

A secondary tighter low is expected to generate a secondary reinforcing S/SW swell for Friday morning to 2ft+ before easing through the day. Morning offshores will again create clean conditions.

The weekend is looking void of any major swell, but into next week we'll see a strong node of the Long Wave Trough stalling over us, bringing strong frontal activity through the Southern Ocean and lots of swell for us. More on this Wednesday.
