The current swell will be upped tomorrow, with another strong pulse for the weekend.
A sub-tropical low SE of Fiji is sending small waves to open stretches of the Burnett Coast with this swell source expected to continue as the system slowly drifts through the South Pacific.
Onshore winds are kicking back in and will persist until early next week.
The more N’ly tilt in winds across Bass Strait later tomorrow and o/night into Fri should lead to another burst in N’ly windswell for Fri.
The gale force fetches out of Bass Strait are supplying small S’ly pulses favouring Central/Mid North NSW. A slow moving low in the South Pacific will supply some very inconsistent background E swell into the weekend and next week.
In the short run we’ll see the current severe gales out of Bass Strait (60kt gusts recorded at Hogan Island!) generate a stronger S swell for tomorrow.
