We've got a strong, building W/SW groundswell as NW winds favour the South Coast. An onshore change is due tomorrow, cleaner from Wednesday.

Strong trades through the central and northern Coral Sea over the weekend will gradually extend south by late Sunday, nosing just far enough into SE Qld’s eastern swell window to allow for a minor increase in short range E/NE energy.

A weak N/NE windswell will stop the coast going flat but next weekend looks more promising for surf.

There's great to excellent surf due across the state from Sunday but more so next week with good winds and tons of swell.
