Small to tiny swells with slowly improving winds for the beaches.
Bit of a downgrade for next weeks surf prospects. Firstly, because the S’ly flow remains more stubbornly entrenched through Mon and Tues- although we should start seeing morning land breezes develop at least by Tues morning. Secondly, the deep polar low outbreak now really winds up a little further E (favouring California!) so we’re more exposed to sideband energy rather than the main course.
Local winds look to spoil a good run of swell this period.
Complex and dynamic weekend ahead, with an upper trough, surface trough and front forming a surface low in the convergence zone off the North Coast. This low is expected to rapidly deepen through Sat.
Get stuck in today before the swell eases into the weekend. Next week is a bit trickier swell and wind wise.
Complex and dynamic weekend ahead, with an upper trough, surface trough and front forming a surface low in the convergence off the North Coast. The initial front now feeds into a deepening trough line off the Mid North Coast (separate to the developing surface low off the North Coast ) which amplifies the fetch of S/SE winds adjacent to the Central NSW Coast.
We've got plenty of swell for the South Coast but with less than ideal winds. The Mid Coast will become tiny.
After a couple of weeks of great waves, the coming outlook is very spring like with average winds and weaker swells.
Good swells and decent winds Friday ahead of average conditions on the weekend and fun surf next week.
