South Australian Forecast (issued Monday 29th February)

Best Days: Tuesday exposed breaks down South, Mid Coast Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, South Coast Saturday morning

Recap

Solid decent waves across the South Coast Saturday morning as Friday's kick in strong SW groundswell held well as winds tended variable. This created improving conditions through the morning before sea breezes started to kick in late morning.

Sunday saw similar conditions with good amounts of easing swell under light onshore S'ly winds, increasing through the morning.

The Mid Coast offered workable 1-1.5ft waves Saturday, smaller than the afternoon previous, tiny into Sunday.

Today the Mid was back to a tiny 0.5ft , while the South Coast was the pick with cleaner fun conditions under a morning E/NE breeze and new S/SW groundswell.

This week (Mar 1 - 4)

South Coast: Tomorrow morning will be super clean down South with offshore N'ly winds and a fun small easing swell from 2ft at Middleton and 3ft+ at Waits and Parsons early.

Wednesday will be even smaller with tiny leftovers and early variable winds are due to give into a fresh onshore S/SE change.

Through Thursday a mix of W/SW groundswells are due to build, generated by an initial weak cold front passing under WA this evening and then stronger better aligned (for the South Coast) system tomorrow.

Both swells are due to build through Thursday, peak overnight and then ease Friday.

Middleton should build to and ease from 3ft later Thursday/Friday morning but with poor onshore S/SE winds Thursday, lighter Friday morning.

Mid Coast: Tiny to flat surf is due tomorrow and Wednesday, but the W/SW swells should build to 1-2ft Thursday afternoon and then ease back from a similar size Friday morning.

This weekend onwards (Mar 5 onwards)

Easing surf is due across both coasts through the weekend with OK E/NE winds down South Saturday morning, better from the N'th Sunday but by then the swell will be tiny.

From early next week onwards good pulses of SW groundswell are due across the South Coast, but winds are looking poor and onshore for the South Coast besides Monday morning. We'll have another look at this Wednesday.
