Make the most of today
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 28th July)
Best Days: Today
Features of the Forecast (tl;dr)
- Tiny, fading N/NE swell tomorrow with NW winds
- Tiny, weak N windswell Fri PM and Sat with gusty N-N/NW winds
Recap
Tiny yesterday, but today we've got a new N/NE swell on the coast, but with less than ideal winds. Semi-protected spots are offering smaller, peaky runners out of the NW breeze.
This week and weekend (Jul 29 - 30)
Make the most of today's acute N'ly windswell, as a strong change thats's currently pushing across the state will kill off the swell generating fetch, leaving tiny to flat surf tomorrow.
There might be a 1-1.5ft wave on the north-east swell magnets at dawn with a NW offshore.
Moving into Friday and more so Saturday, weak N'ly winds developing down our coast may generate a tiny 1ft+ of N/NE windswell again, but with poor N/NW winds. It won't be surfable or have quality.
Unfortunately the longer term outlook is still void of any major swells, but check back here Friday and next week for an idea when things may change.
