Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This week and weekend (Dec 28 - 31)

Tomorrow will be the pick of the forecast period as we see a fun sized N/NE windswell peaking as winds improve.

Through this afternoon and evening, a strengthening fetch of N/NE winds will produce a fun N/NE windswell that's expected to peak tomorrow morning to 3ft across north-east facing beaches during the morning, easing through the day.

A N/NW breeze is expected tomorrow morning and early afternoon, swinging more W/NW towards the evening, while a S'ly change looks to move through around dark.

Come Friday morning winds are still a little tricky, with the chance of a lingering E/SE onshore breeze, but we'll likely just see variable tending light offshore winds.

The N/NE swell will be tiny in any case and fading from 1-1.5ft.

For the rest of the period there's still nothing major on the cards besides a poor S'ly windswell for Tuesday. More on this Friday.
