Fun NE windswell tomorrow
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 22nd February)
Best Days: Thursday once the offshore change hits
Recap
Fun waves across spots open to south swell yesterday and today with a S/SE swell. This swell is now easing so make the most of it.
This week and weekend (Feb 23 - 26)
Come tomorrow morning there isn't due to be any surfable S/SE swell left across the coast, but the NE windswell has been upgraded a touch.
This evening and early tomorrow a broad and elongated fetch of strong N/NE winds will develop through our northern swell window, with a W/NW change due to push through mid-late morning.
With this we'll see a peak in NE windswell tomorrow morning to 3ft across north facing beaches, cleaning up rapidly but also easing quickly once the change moves through.
Come Friday only tiny 1ft leftovers are due.
A S'ly change for the weekend has been downgraded with no swell at all expected from this.
Longer term from Tuesday next week we're looking at an extended run of NE windswell across the coast between 2-3ft, but we'll have a closer look at this Friday.
