Best Days: Wednesday morning, Thursday morning Friday

Recap

A small inconsistent 1-2ft of north-east swell across magnets over the weekend, but this has increased into this morning with some better size across magnets.

North-east facing beaches should be seeing 3ft sets and a gusty S/SE change is due to push through later this arvo/this evening.

This week (Dec 27 - 30)

With this evening's S/SE change, the NE flow down our coast will be cut off temporarily, leaving smaller 2ft sets across north-east magnets tomorrow morning along with a SE tending E/NE breeze.

Into Tuesday evening and Wednesday a small fetch of NE winds will develop off the southern NSW coast, persisting through Thursday morning before weakening temporarily and then increasing a touch Friday.

This should keep small levels of NE windswell hitting our north facing breaks, 2ft on Wednesday before pulsing to 2-3ft Thursday morning, easing off back to 2ft Friday morning.

A light offshore wind is expected Wednesday morning ahead of N/NE sea breezes, then a variable tending NE breeze Thursday, with offshore W/NW winds Friday.

This weekend onwards (Dec 31 onwards)

Fading levels of background NE swell to 1-2ft max are due on Saturday, with nothing significant at all through most of next week. We'll have another look at this Wednesday.
