Best Days: Possibly south swell magnets Thursday morning

Recap

Good fun easing swell from the end of last week with 2-3ft+ sets Saturday morning, tiny into Sunday.

Today there was a small north-east windswell in the water but with average winds, which has since swing offshore.

This week and weekend (Oct 4 - 9)

The fetch responsible for this morning's northerly windswell has already moved off to the east out of our swell window.

There'll be no size at all left across the coast tomorrow morning, with the only chance for a small wave this week being Thursday.

This will be from a zonal but very strong mid-latitude low pushing across us Wednesday afternoon.

A fetch of severe-gale to storm-force W/SW winds will be quickly generated through our southern swell window. We may see 1-2ft sets at south facing beaches during the morning with W/NW winds, fading into the afternoon and tiny Friday.

From here there's nothing significant on the cards at all until possibly mid-next week when a strong mid-latitude might move across us. More on this Wednesday though.
